  5. I's another Cuomo committee where the outcome is planned in advance and the Cuomo shill, Fred Dicker at the Post, prepares his puff piece about the magnificent Cuomo solving another problem. Hold on to your wallet.
Sorry Andrew, you wanted the committee; you set up the fix; you raised the judges pay.

  6. I have had my differences with "Frank Brady" but I applaud his inclusion of this announcement.

I urge EVERYBODY who is concerned about judicial corruption to GO TO ALBANY AND TESTIFY.

Victims of judicial corruption have a powerful opportunity to vindicate their own rights and advance reform by testifying in opposition to pay raises for corrupt New York judges at a public hearing to be held by New York’s Judicial Compensation Commission on Wednesday, July 20th, at 11 a.m., in Albany -- &/or by sending the Commission statements of written opposition.

Such hearing directly results from the advocacy of the non-partisan, non-profit citizens’ organization, Center for Judicial Accountability, Inc. (CJA), whose May 23rd and June 23rd letters to the Judicial Compensation Commission called upon it to hold public hearings “to ensure that its work is informed by evidence-based facts as to the supposed quality of our state judges entitling them to increased compensation, including the quality of those judges who have complained that they are underpaid.”

CJA’s position, expressed by its May 23rd letter, is that there must be NO increases in judicial compensation:

“until mechanisms are in place and functioning to remove judges who deliberately pervert the rule of law and any semblance of justice and whose decisions are nothing short of ‘judicial perjuries’, being knowingly false and fabricated. Such judges, willfully destroying the lives of countless New Yorkers, the wellbeing of our state, and our democracy as a whole, are unworthy of their current salaries and benefits – being paid by hardworking New Yorkers.”

CJA’s website, www.judgewatch.org, posts its devastating letters and e-mails to the Judicial Compensation Commission, accessible via the top panel “Latest News”. The direct link is http://www.judgewatch.org/web-pages/judicial-compensation/nys-judicial-compensation.htm.

  9. just like those hearings at the Senate, so everyone gets tagged and their lawsuits, somehow happen to disappear into the circular file
then fake psych paperwork appears behind your back and you are on medication, your neighbors make phony complaints behind your back to make it appear as if you are crazy and need that medication that you are not on(from that phony paperwork they pass around behind your back to make the judges believe)

remember Will you started something about a fire hydrant you are crazy! they will do or say anything to harm the target!

  12. Whether or not someone goes to these hearings, their lawsuits will be thrown out. They entire system is corrupted.

But, if people don't go, then they use that to say that there is no opposition to their position. You all know that if the raises are passed, then they will say that the citizens had an opportunity to object, and didn't. That is worse because they get you twice.

It's just a matter of time before this corruption is addressed, but no one should back off. People may not remember what a creep Rupert Murdoch was known as and no one respected, he then got a foothold in England and was able to create and expand his empire through underhanded means. The scandal that looks like it is bringing down his empire started over ten years ago but only recently sparked public outrage.

So, go to any hearing with a well constructed speech and speak to anyone, especially press, that you can.

(This blog and others should be sure to call reporters and news organizations to cover these hearings. A public demonstration about the corruption ahead of the hearings might not be a bad idea.)

  13. The CJA should be sure to contact Chris Cuomo of ABCs 20/20 since he is hot on the subject of public officials and agencies who fail to do their jobs and properly investigate complaints. He's using the Jaycee Dugard case as his new bully pulpit to go after public officials who failed to act.

Chris Cuomo is a lawyer so he can either be part of the problem or part of the solution.

  14. contact Chris Cuomo as to where our complaints at
    Attorney Grievance
    Attorney General
    Commission on Judicial Conduct
    DOJ

where do these complaints go and why are they not made Public?

don't tell me about any FOIL Act, no such thing, by the time you request, they already have altered info! just like there is no such thing as HIPPA!

  15. i can't believe the are having this hearing in the middle of the summer. i'm going to be there. and they are going to hear what i think about them gettting a f**king pay increase.

  16. Yet, it may be the perfect time to contact muckraking journalists.

There are a lot of people out there angry at the court system and law enforcement on the heels of Casey Anthony and Jaycee Dugard, and the clear failure to do what is expected.

The lawyers and prosecutors didn't come off looking too good in the Anthony trial, but as we all know, that nonsense is what goes on every day, and is even worse.

We know children and families are not protected and that lawyers, judges and the courts often create many of the problems.

Unfortunately, most people don't understand how serious the problem is until they are forced into the system.

This may be the perfect time to educate these reporters and tie the corruption in NY with the misconduct that is now making news.

  17. Any lawsuit that is tossed by either Fed Ct or State Ct, needs to be fuly reported here...with all evidence that should have indicted OCA or Fed ct shown to all who read this..so the skeptics or even the supporters do not believe that...well they probably didn;t have a real case anyway..even though everyone here knows the serious corruption of the American Justice System.
I could put license plates numbers on here of hired state employees working for OCA, I can show absolute proof of transcript altering and computer cut and pasting to manipulate results...all verified by experts that OCA could never come close to disputing...and I am certain I would get a bunch of you who would believe that the court who heard the summary judgment...was not corrupt.
It has not happened, yet...but I see how NY'ERS and Americans are suckered into their childhood belief that the American justice system is truly the best system in the world (how do we know that)...so we must accept all their diseases and allow those media interviews to let us make those insane statements....defense attys abound within this category!

Do Not lose sight that the justice system is severely broken in America...and most significantly in NY State, and the citizens throughout must come forward and demand change....as we cannot allow these lawyers employed all over the US... most politicians, the President, the FBI and the Judiciary who specifically control the effectiveness of all laws...thwart our efforts.
TERM LIMITS, CORRUPTION OVERSIGHT...AND THEN PAY RAISES PER INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE!

What has "Judicial Watch" got to do with anything? There should be no confusion: the non-partisan, non-profit citizens' organization Center for Judicial Accountability (CJA), whose website is www.judgewatch.org, is NOT "Judicial Watch".

Nor should anyone be misled into thinking that the fiercely partisan "Judicial Watch" cares a hoot about judicial integrity issues. Check out CJA's website entry of contacts with "Judicial Watch", posted on www.judgewatch.org, accessible via the left sidebar panel "Searching for Champions-Organizations".

Finally, let me hear from you about what you are doing to SPREAD THE WORD about the important opportunity that victims of judicial misconduct by NY judges have at the Commission on Judicial Compensation's July 20th hearing -- be it by testifying in vigorous opposition to judicial pay increases or by furnishing written opposition. CJA's "Latest News" webpage, accessible from the top panel of our "judgewatch" website, has FURTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS.

    Thank you -- & contact me at 718-708-5303; elena@judgewatch.org

There is a mechanism.. It just doesn't work..

I'm still wondering how they missed a violation of fundamental rights and permitted a Judge to willfully act while recused and in the absence of subject matter jurisdiction.

How does an investigation miss that?

  30. Thank you Elena for clarifying that recent surfacing of the very confusing and lengthy Judicial Watch blog advertisement.
I read their homepage and was certain that judicial corruption, esp in NY State, was not their main agenda or of much interest.

I see that public interference in judicial matters is now the only route to take, as Government of any kind is disinterested and protective..until maybe they see a growing movement within the masses.
Everyone I know in my circle of friends and acquaintances...view serious problems within the NY State judicial system,as they see judges as political hacks that are lazy and lenient, and view it's lack of progress to fit the needs of the computer era of knowledge in the fast pace of the 2000's... as being way out of touch. How can a person like Lippman, who has 40 yrs within OCA ever see things freshly or even non-corruptly.
They are truly just looking for a method to address it that will be heard..even if it is just millions of members of the public.
We have to get rid of lifetime Federal Judgeships and decades of long 10 and 14 yr stints as political state Judgeships...to even start the ethical process...so denying raises will allow the public to force these GOVERNMENT lawyers out of their judgeships, as it appears, and into the real world of working and getting paid for how they really...
    ' perform".

  31. Dear Anonymous,

Have you "spread the word" to your "circle of friends and acquaintance" about the Center for Judicial Accountability and the mobilization effort it is undertaking to stop pay raises for NYS judges under we have functioning mechanisms in place for the disciplining and removal of dishonest, corrupt judges?

If, as you say, they are "truly just looking for a method to address it", we need to bring them on board CJA's citizen taxpayer revolt as it is a powerful opportunity to advance judicial accountability.

Let's not waste time in blogging back & forth. Call me at 718-708-5303, as there is important work to be done -- and I need your help.

    Thank you.
