The New York Law Journal by Noeleen G. Walder - November 20, 2009
A Long Island attorney targeted earlier this year in connection with a $50 million real estate scam has pleaded not guilty to charges of tax evasion, said Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. Indicted in August for allegedly helping to recruit straw buyers at a Manhattan dominatrix club (NY Lawyer, Aug. 12), a grand jury indicted George Guldi of Westhampton Beach for failing to file personal state income tax returns for 2006-2008. A Suffolk County legislator from 1994-2003, Mr. Guldi, 56, was subsequently indicted for stealing insurance money held in escrow to build a beach house that was ravaged by fire in 2008. If convicted of the tax evasion charges, he faces up to four years in prison.

This guy needs a good spanking.
To the above writer...LOLLLLL
Let me flesh this story out a bit and give you more food for thought.
Mr.Guldi's woes started after he let it be known around town that he was thinking of running for Suffolk DA. Mr.Guldi gets arrested for mortgage fraud. Throw in the sex club angle to juice up the story.
Kind of tough to run for DA when you are arrested and soon to be indicted. Mr.Guldi switches over to run for County Legislator. His woes continue.
Now, Mr.Guldi is being charged with income tax evasion. This is what is commonly known as 'piling on.'
Mr.Spota seems to enjoy pulling off the wings of crippled flies.
He arrested another former County Legislator named Wayne Prospect. My Gosh, Mr.Prospect had the gall to go to trial. He was convicted. Then, Mr. Prospect did the unforgivable - he appealed. This was quickly followed with another indictment of tax evasion.
Mr.Prospect, his family, and his friends have been vanquished financially. Not only that, but Mr.Prospect had to go to jail with cancer - a seriously life threatening cancer. He has since been given a medical parole so he can get proper treatment.
there are many forms of cancer. One of the most serious is located on Veteran's Highway in Hauppague, NY Bldg77, North Complex.
The least that will happen to Mr.Guldi is that he will probably lose more than a quarter of million dollars in legal fees, if not convicted of alleged crimes that DA Spota, Champion of The People has charged him with.
