Cuomo Recuses Himself From Gov Probes, Taps Former Chief of Corrupt Courts

Cuomo recuses himself from Paterson probes, taps Kaye
The Albany Times Union by Jimmy Vielkingy/Mike Groll/Associated Press - March 11, 2010

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said he is appointing former Chief Judge Judith Kaye as an “independent counsel” responsible for overseeing investigations into David Paterson’s administration, recusing himself from two ongoing probes. “We did a preliminary review. What we have found in the preliminary review is that there are credible issues to be resolved. Once you make that determination then the question then becomes, well how do you conduct the investigation?” Cuomo said in a conference call Thursday afternoon. He said that the investigation was a “complex, weighty matter indeed. It is further complicated in this case due to the political atmosphere.” Cuomo began his first investigation of the Executive Chamber and State Police at Paterson’s request, after the New York Times reported the governor and a Trooper had contact with a woman pursuing domestic violence charges against David Johnson, the governor’s special assistant. A second complaint was forwarded to Cuomo’s office by the Commission on Public Integrity, which last week found Paterson made untrue statements under oath about his intention to repay the New York Yankees for World Series Tickets he solicited.
Cuomo said that the preliminary review included “hundreds of pages, thousands of e-mails and interviewed dozens of witnesses. An immediate resolution of these matters does not appear to be at hand,” Cuomo said. “We are fully cognizant of the need to do the investigation quickly, as well as the need to do the investigation thoroughly.” He declined to comment on how long the investigation might stretch. He also said the decision to recuse himself was a “legal determination,” and denied that political considerations played into it. A poll found A poll Cuomo’s standing among voters has slipped since he agreed to be the investigation’s steward. He is widely expected to run for governor, though he has consistently (and continued Thursday) to refuse to articulate his exact plans. While not announcing his intention to run for governor, Cuomo’s move is obviously aimed at avoiding charges that he’s coming down to hard on Paterson, perhaps in hopes of getting him to resign or somehow clearing the way for his ascension. “I understand the political environment and I understand the ferocity of politics in New York,” Cuomo said.

Talk about the corrupt leading the corrupt. Hey, Andy, baby. What's Up? Are you afraid of the feds? Why not a federal monitor from Montana. That would get you out of your silent hole!

PREDICTION: Andy's numbers will tank faster than Paterson's did. Can't make this crap up. New York is the shithole of corruption.

Cuomo's a whimp. Ran to the hills because polls. All he wants is to be governor. Here's the daily news article: ndrew Cuomo hands over probes of Gov. Paterson to retired Appeals Chief Justice Judith Kaye

BY Kenneth Lovett, Greg B. Smith and Glenn Blain DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS Thursday, March 11th 2010, 9:27 PM

ALBANY - Attorney General Andrew Cuomo handed off the politically red-hot probes of Gov. Paterson on Thursday - clearly hoping not to get burned any more. Just days after a Marist College poll revealed a sizable drop in his approval ratings, particularly among blacks, Cuomo "removed" himself from the potentially explosive inquests. He appointed retired Court of Appeals Chief Justice Judith Kaye to run the probes. "This is a legal determination as to what is the best way to conduct an investigation," said Cuomo, who is all but certain to run for governor. Cuomo said he made the decision to appoint Kaye out of "an abundance of caution" to avoid any possible conflicts, though he acknowledged the political prism through which the case is likely to be viewed. "I understand the ferocity of politics of New York and I understand that it is incredibly important to all of us that the public have a 100% confidence that this investigation is being handled properly," Cuomo said. Tuesday's Marist poll found the public was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with Cuomo's role in the investigation. His once sky-high approval rating had dropped 13 points in just a week, including a 22-point drop among nonwhite voters, to 45%, the Marist poll showed. "Politicians are supposed to follow public opinion, he did and the result was a wise decision," said Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf." Kaye's appointment means the case is likely to drag on for several more weeks - and hang over Paterson as he tries to negotiate a budget with lawmakers. Kaye will oversee Cuomo's staff of lawyers and investigators, who've interviewed dozens of witnesses and pored over pages of documents in both cases. Nearly all of the crucial witnesses have been deposed in the probe of whether Paterson, his aides or the state police broke any laws by intervening in the domestic abuse case. The Daily News reported yesterday that Cuomo's investigators have found little evidence to support a witness tampering case against Paterson. Cuomo did not deny the story, but said: "Discussing any outcome would be premature." This week, a handful of witnesses are being called back for a second interview. Johnson, another top Paterson aide, Clemmie Harris, and the governor are to be interviewed as soon as next week. Kaye will essentially play the role Cuomo would have played, overseeing any presentation to a grand jury, signing off on subpoenas and, in the end, making the call as to whether to prosecute.Cuomo will be barred from participating in any of these matters. Kaye, who has no experience as a prosecutor, vowed the "public will have a full, fair and independent accounting of the facts."

Kaye will be Andrew's puppet. He sticks his hand up her ass and she says what he wants to say.

The question is: who's hand is up Cuomo's ass?

Kaye and Cuomo. Talk about the devil's spawn's familial interactions. From article, "Kaye, who has no experience as a prosecutor." Kaye's experience is in covering up judicial corruption while Chief Judge; clearing ACORN in NY after examining ACORN's books in less than an week (when she has difficulty with arithmetic); appointing corrupt judges in Court Administration; and covering up the crimes of her husband's law firm.
This is about Cuomo. Cuomo knows about Kaye's corruption. Cuomo knows about Kaye's ACORN cover-up. Cuomo knows about Chief Judge Lippman and Judge Ramos.

Saint Andrew, Patron Saint of Crooked Lawyers and Judges, enlightens. Saint Andrew has omniscently assigned the prosecution of Paterson to his supplicant, Judith. The vast multitude of voters unsympathetically inclined to his beneficiaries will be consumed with racial/ethnic conflicts between Kaye and Dave, while Saint Andrew's aurora waxes brighter. Please be generous, because Saint Andrew is protecting you.

This was a good set up....
Our complaints are getting to them, so the Governor gets set up...
Kaye is friends with Lippman, Lippman who should be in jail as per complaint filed in his office by Frank Brady and now the Governor is under investigation and Kaye is leading the way.....

So right about all the set ups, so the corrupt do not get caught, blame the other guy, he did something!

Kick their butts Paterson!

The question is: who's hand is up Cuomo's ass?

I hope it is not Lippman with that forty million, that would mean Andy has a big butt!

Besides all the nasty baggage that comes with THE judiicial corruption covering old bag... Judy Kaye....she also was the one who "swore in Governor Paterson'...as our Governor...while he gushed and gushed about how great she was...and deemed her to be the BEST chief judge to ruin, run the NY state justice system..ever!
I saw that swearing in myself and vomited with Paterson's BS political jargon..he is so fond of spewing when he 'feels" potent.

Having had personal experience with this ignorant woman...who totally ignored my written allegations outlining insider information of judicial corruption from a 3 decade employment perspective...and then watched her instigate a conspiracy to assure I would not be able to publically relay said information to the citizens...at that time only.....I am now amused that CUOMO.... who is connected by his father, to this crooked hag....has inserted her criminal old behind into an already political interwinement of conflicts and corruption!

I guess you can reconcile this joke on the NY citizenry.... by stating it takes a crook to know a crook...but then the love fest among these players...suggests...a big fat coverup to catapult CUOMO into the Governorship...before he has to spend a dime to convince everyone.... he is not a criminal himself.

NY STATE IS COMPLETELY TRAGIC!

see how they use the police to set people up, to put the people under investigation, it is a tactic to defame the other guy so the corrupt do not get investigated...

Chicago in NY said...

What this about? It's to help Cuomo to get rid of Paterson without offending the black community. It's right out of Chicago Playbook, where opposition candidates are forced from the ballot (Obama's opposition was forced from the ballot in both his State and Federal Senate elections). Schumer/Obama see Paterson as a loser and Cuomo as a sure thing. Look how they took out Gillibrand's black opposition. When has Kaye ever acted against corruption? Kaye is corruption.
As if NY wasn't corrupt enough, we bring Chicago crime tactics to swell our misery. Look beyond the smoke and mirrors and see Paterson cleared from the field by a corrupt judge and Gillibrand asking for the women's vote, without alienating the black community.

The domestic violence incident occurred on 10-31-09, restraining order followed and missed court date was February 8th.......

Kaye knew that the courts where and are use for the trafficking of minors for sexual performances in child custody cases and is belief that adoptions are another big industry of selling children. Andy knows children are been sold by the judges and law guardians to sexually exploited them and they even have their "forensic experts" participating in the sell. People of New York it is time to get up and take action against these pro pedophiles.

Too little, too late, Mr. Cuomo. You're just like the rest of them.

Cumo is working for the banks/financial companys and law firms that have bought and paid for his run for Gov. That is why Cumo has not gon after anyone for mortgage and loan fraud. That would also catch lawyers. Kaye will find nothing. they will not prosecute another lawyer, just like they let Spitzer of the hook.
Kay just wants to get in good graces with Cumo and Silver. Cumo is Silver`s pupet. I wonder what Bruno did to make Silver so mad that he would send him to prison.
Lippmam must be loving it, he has to retire in a few years and he will be able to get more work.
Maybe they will get control of more money.

Bruno didn't do anything wrong except believe in unions, they want to break the unions, except for the County/State Unions so they can control our gov't, our people, our law.........
so anyone with connections gets marked so they can say they are the one's who are corrupt!
hello, Jews Rule or so they think
because it is only a matter of time before the county/state workers unions are bankrupt also....in the meantime we can get these people to commit felonious acts to keep their jobs or else we will put them out of business......
It is a game!

When will the dirt come out on Cuomo? I can't wait!
