Serpico on Today's Corruption

March, 2009, Frank Serpico, "...The system has not changed. Somehow, we keep electing these ego-driven, capitalist, greedy people to office." Frank Serpico is the man who inspired the 1973 Al Pacino film "Serpico" about corruption and intimidation in the New York City Police Department. "We can't just stand by and let them run us into the poorhouse. The government, people have to realize, is the most corrupt in the world. If you're gonna quote me on anything, that should be it. Why do people refuse to believe that the people we entrust with our nation's safety are not all trustworthy people?"

I think Frank Serpico should bitch-slap a few of the thugs in OCA.

FRANK SERPICO IS THE MAN..I ADMIRE HIM SO VERY MUCH FOR TAKING ON THE MOST CORRUPT OFFICIALS IN NYC...ALL COPS SHOULD BE LIKE HIM.

I read the article from Florida. So, Serpico is back in NY. Just in time. Remove spineless Lippman and appoint Frank Serpico as Chief Judge. That'll clean the courts up pretty quick

If you have been wondering where the heros are, it's nice to know that at least one is in NY: Serpico. Run for mayor, Frank!

Years ago,,, I didn't realize what a hero this man was... I do now...

Yes, please run for mayor, Frank Serpico. The billionaire who runs this city has let the NYPD run amok. Not to mention subsidizing the Yankees and Mets -- what's up with that?!?

You allowed an extremely wealthy Mayor to work for nothing... and so he let's his power run things.
You never get anything for nothing!
He'll stay in as long as he can and dump more term limits....because he works for free and that statement works for lots of people. But no one really ever works for free! Smarten up NYC.
